Hope everyone’s school year is off to a great start!

We are excited to get the boys basketball season started. If your child is interested in participating in basketball, please review the information below to get registered. Also please join the SportsYou codes below for more information from coaches.

How to Register Your Child for all sports.

Please follow these step-by-step directions to complete the registration process:

1.Log on to:

2. Create an account (continue to next step if you’ve created an account in the system previously).

3. Log in to your account & click Begin Registration to follow prompts. You will need to Add Participant’s Name

& ID # on initial login. If ID is unknown, please enter 1111 temporarily.

4. Select the Activity being registered for. Complete all required fields & click Save.

5. On the next screen you must print out & complete the Physical Form, and have it signed & dated where

indicated by the student, parent/guardian, & physician performing the exam. Send the physical form to the

office with your student.

6. Acknowledge all required documents have been read & accepted by BOTH the student and the

parent/guardian. Click Next. If both boxes are not checked, you will not be allowed to continue.

7. On the Registration Summary screen, click the “Submit” button. You will receive a confirmation email from

no-reply@8to18.com.

7th-grade boys basketball- Coach Riebel will be hosting open gym on Tuesday, September 29th from 6:00 - 7:20 am at the PE Center. Practice will officially begin on Monday, October 5th from 6:00 - 7:20 am at Byron PE Center. Students will walk together to the middle school after morning practice. Please join the Sports You below.

8th-grade boys basketball-. Coach Carter will be hosting open gym on Wednesday. Sept. 30th and Thursday, October 1st from 6:00 – 7:20 am at the PE Center. Students will walk together to the middle school after morning practice. Practice will officially begin on October 5th from 6:00 - 7:30 am at Byron Middle School (Practices will move to after school once high school boys soccer is over)

6th-grade boys basketball-Will begin on Tuesday, October 13th, Wednesday, October 14th, and Thursday, October 15th at the PE Center from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. Students will ride the transfer bus over to Mary Morgan and sit in Mary Mogan's cafeteria until their coaches start practice.

Sports you code will be posted once students are divided evenly on orange/black team.

Builders club will hold a meeting TOMORROW, Wednesday, September 30th from 7:00 am - 7:40 am in room 601. The service project will be to finish making the dog toys from t-shirts. New members are welcome to join us.

If you would like to test your taste buds and your nose on different foods and smells come to the Ag room from 3:00 – 4:00 pm TOMORROW Wednesday, September 30th, where FFA will be preparing for their Food Science CDE.

PBIS is hosting a $1 NEON DAY this Friday 10/2. Students are encouraged to wear as much neon as they can (can include hats, crazy hair, makeup, clothes, etc.). With their $1, they will also receive a neon/glow accessory. All money goes toward the PBIS funds to purchase prizes and host fun events for the students!

Student Council merchandise order forms and money are due back this Friday 10/2. All checks can be made payable to BMS.

Dance team will start practice on Tuesday, October 13th. There will be an information meeting Thursday, October 1st at 3:15 pm in BMS Room 205

Join Byron Volleyball for our “Volley for the Cure” night on Tuesday, October 6th. All proceeds will be donated to help fight against Cancer.

Attention yearbook members: Order forms for apparel (tees, long sleeve tees, hoodies, and crewnecks) are in Google classroom and available in the office! Forms and payment are due by Wednesday, October 7th, at 3:00 pm. Ordering apparel is completely optional. See Mrs. Bukoski with any questions.

Upcoming Flu Clinic will be Thursday, October 8, 2026. Locations will be: Mary Morgan Bandroom from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and Byron Middle School Room #205 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. See attachment, scan the QR code for printable consent form. Form must be completed by October 6th. Turn form in at your building main office.

The next Outdoor Adventure Club trip will be the amazing Caving Trip to Maquoketa State Park in Iowa! This trip will be Saturday, October 10th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and the cost is $5.00. Registration forms are available in the BMS Office. Forms and money are due by the end of the day Tuesday, October 6th.

Register for teen programs at the Byron Public Library! Sign up for Cake Pops (Tuesday, September 29th), a Book Box (pick-up is Friday, October 2nd), Volunteens (Monday, October 5th), Halloween Crafts (drop-in on your day off school on Monday, October 12th from 2-4 pm), Hocus Pocus movie (Tuesday, October 20th), a Murder Mystery Extravaganza (Friday, October 30th) and Dungeons & Dragons (on Wednesdays) on the library website.

After-School Teen Time at the Byron Public Library is from 3:00 – 5:00 pm Mondays through Thursdays. No registration necessary- just show up when your schedule allows it!
