8th grade Promotion will be held on Thursday, May 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the Byron High School Gym.
The Byron PTA is seeking nominations for Educator of the Year for each of the district’s sites: Mary Morgan Elementary School, Byron Middle School, and Byron High School. Those making the nominations may be students, parents/guardians, or grandparents who would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of an educator (including teachers, resource or specials teachers, administrative & support staff, school counselors or nurses, etc.) who have had a positive impact on a student or students in the Byron District. Please complete the information below and attach this form to your written explanation of how this educator or staff member has impacted the education of the children in our community. The explanation may be typed or handwritten. Nominations can be turned in via email Byron226pta@gmail.com with the subject line, Byron PTA EOTY, or to one of the school offices ASAP. The individuals that are selected from each building will be acknowledged by the PTA at the end of the school year. The nominations are for the PTA committee’s use only. A separate e-mail with the nomination form was sent out Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
2025-2026 BMS yearbooks are on sale NOW for $25 (cash or check made payable to BMS) in the office (if you did not purchase one at registration). Yearbooks will be passed out in early August. Any questions, see Mrs. Bukoski.

The District Art Show is THIS Thursday, May 7th in the Byron High School gym from 4:30-7:30 pm. All students in art class this year will have at least one piece of art on display. We hope to see you there!
Anyone going into 7th or 8th grade next year interested in trying out for cheerleading can sign up in the office. Open Gyms will be held May 13th & 14th from 6:15-7:30 a.m. in the BMS gym. Tryouts will happen Friday May 15th from 6:30-7:30 a.m. in the BMS gym. Please see Ms. Free with any questions.
Additionally, any 8th graders that are interested in high school cheer, try-outs will be held on May 13th and 15th in the P.E. The last Outdoor Adventure Club Trip for the school year is “ADVENTURE CAMP” at Silver Birch Ranch in Wisconsin Tuesday May 19th thru Thursday May 21st. Cost is $150.00 and includes meals and the following activities: Tubing, Horseback Riding, Zip Lining, Rock Climbing Wall, Leap of Faith, Fishing, Swimming and Boating, Archery, Air Soft Shooting, BB Guns, Volleyball, Basketball, Gaga Ball, Mini-Golf, Game Room, and Campfire Program. UNPLUG – EXPLORE – CREATE: Lowden State Park presents, ‘Together for Taft’ the ultimate nature-based hangout for ages 9 thru 14. Includes 3 hours of pure adventure, including Forest & River exploration and Hands-on Building & Art. No desks, no screens, just science in the wild. Meets at Taft Shelter. Cost is $20.00 per session.
