Attention 8th Graders It is time to start to prepare for next year!!! Get Involved in High School!!!!.

1. Are you interested in being a Class Officer? 2. Are you interested in joining Student Council?

Both applications can be found in your google classroom. You MUST apply for these individually; They are separate organizations in the High School.

Please let Mrs. Ebens know if you have any questions by emailing her at kebens@byron226.org or you can visit Ms. Ebens in the Ag room or Miss Smith in the 8th grade pod. Both were a part of student council and class officers in HS. I know they can answer your questions. ALL APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 24th

The next Art Club meeting will be TODAY, Wednesday, April 22nd from 3:00 – 4:00 in the Art room. Sign up in the office if you would like to attend. All students are welcome.

FFA will be having a meeting TODAY, Wednesday, April 22nd, after school from 3:00 – 4:00 pm in the ag room. We will be discussing information for the rest of the year.

Any 8th grade girl interested in High School Basketball, Coach Yerly will be at lunch tomorrow, Thursday to hand out summer information.

Baseball Players: Come out to the baseball game tomorrow, Thursday night at 4:30. Please wear one of your baseball jerseys from this year or last year.

The next Outdoor Adventure Club trip is the “The Forge Lemont Quarries” THIS Saturday, April 25th from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This is a new trip and the place looks AMAZING! They offer a Rock Climbing Wall, Zip-Lining, High Rope Climbing Course, Laser Tag, Mini-Golf, Axe Throwing, Archery and Kayaking! Any students participating, please make sure your waiver on SportsYou is completed. SportsYou code: GAHX-GYM4.

UNPLUG – EXPLORE – CREATE: Lowden State Park presents, ‘Together for Taft’ the ultimate nature-based hangout for ages 9 thru 14. Includes 3 hours of pure adventure, including Forest & River exploration and Hands-on Building & Art. No desks, no screens, just science in the wild. Meets at Taft Shelter. Cost is $20.00 per session. Sessions will be held Saturday, April 25th from 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9th from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and Saturday, May 23rd from 12:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Check out their website www.togetherfortaft.org Any questions please e-mail togetherfortaft@outlook.com

Coach Baker will be at 8th grade lunch on Wednesday, April 29th at 11:00 a.m. for a quick meeting for any boys that are interested in playing golf in high school.

Attention all wrestlers, there is a wrestling camp taking place at Byron High School from June 8th - June 10th. Paperwork for this camp is available for pickup in Mr. Boyer’s room.
