Registration is now open for Girls basketball and Byron Middle School Wrestling (6th through 8th grades).

PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS – 2025-26

1. Log on to: https://byron.8to18.com , Snap! Manage site.

2. Create an account (continue to next step if you’ve created an account in the system previously).

3. Log in to your account & click Begin Registration to follow prompts. You will need to Add Participant’s Name & ID # on initial login. If ID is unknown, please enter 1111 temporarily.

4. Select the Activity being registered for. Complete all required fields & click Save.

5. On the next screen, you may upload your completed Physical Examination Form, or you must print out & complete the Physical Form, and have it signed & dated where indicated by the student, parent/guardian, & physician performing the exam.

6. Acknowledge all required documents have been read & accepted by BOTH the student and the parent/guardian. Click Next. If both boxes are not checked, you will not be allowed to continue.

7. On the Registration Summary screen, click the “Submit” button. You will receive a confirmation email from no-reply@8to18.com. This is open to any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader.

Chess Club will meet today in Room 700. You may report immediately after school. The meeting official runs from 3:20-4:00. There is a 4:00 bus if transportation home is needed. Reach out to Mr. Kirk if you are interested, but unable to attend.

Builder’s club will have their monthly meeting TODAY, Friday, November 7th from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. 

Student Council members interested in decorating for the Veterans Day breakfast can help Monday after school 3:20-4:00. There is a 4:00 bus running, if you need transportation home. 

Student Council members signed up to help at the Veteran's Day Breakfast are the only ones who need to report to the meeting next Tuesday 11/11. We will meet in the cafeteria.

BMS would like to recognize or Veterans by creating a “Wall of Honor”.  Please bring in a photo of your Veteran and include the form attached to these announcements.  Form and photos can be turned in at the Middle School office or e-mailed to bwhite@byron226.org (Photos SHOULD be returned, but please DO NOT send originals)

BMS Student Council is hosting a breakfast for our Veteran family members on November 11th. Forms went out and need to be returned by TODAY, Friday, November 7th to the BMS office if you are planning on participating. Additional forms can be found in the office

All students and staff are encouraged to wear red, white and blue on Tuesday in honor of Veterans Day.

The next middle school FFA meetings will be Wednesday November 12th from 3:00 – 4:00 pm. Dairy Product judging contest will be that same day from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Rochelle HS. Please RSVP for contest with Ms. Folk by TODAY, November 7th.

The next Outdoor Adventure Club outing is Roller Skating at The Rink in Mount Morris on Friday, November 14th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.  Cost is $15.00 per student and includes Skate Rental, Pizza, Nachos, Soda, Water & Slushies, DJ Games & Prizes and a Locker for personal belongings.  Students MAY bring their own skates or rollerblades if they are CLEAN and in GOOD condition.  Sign-up sheets are available for pickup in the office.  Forms and money are due no later than Wednesday, November 12th.

Sign up for teen programs at the Byron Public Library! Register for Dungeons & Dragons (Wednesdays  Nov. 12th & 19th) and Winter Crafts (Thursday, Nov. 20th) on the library website.
