Student council is collecting pop tabs for The Ronald McDonald House through the month of October. Please bring in your pop tabs & put them in your grade level bottle (in each pod). The grade level that fills their bottle first will win a prize.
Boys basketball registration is currently open and the directions to get registered are below. We are excited to kick off another fantastic season. If you have any questions or issues, please do not hesitate to reach out to the athletic director at BMS, 815-234-5491 - extension 2004.
6th-grade boys basketball begins today, Tuesday, October 14th at the PE Center from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
Students will ride the transfer bus over to Mary Morgan and sit in Mary Mogan's cafeteria until their coaches release them for practice. Sports you code will be posted once students get placed on orange/black team.
6th Grade Parent/Player Meeting TONIGHT, Tuesday, October 14 at 5:00 PM at Byron PE Center after practice.

PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS – 2025-26
1. Log on to: https://byron.8to18.com , Snap! Manage site.
2. Create an account (continue to next step if you’ve created an account in the system previously).
3. Log in to your account & click Begin Registration to follow prompts. You will need to Add Participant’s Name & ID # on initial login. If ID is unknown, please enter 1111 temporarily.
4. Select the Activity being registered for. Complete all required fields & click Save.
5. On the next screen, you may upload your completed Physical Examination Form, or you must print out & complete the Physical Form, and have it signed & dated where indicated by the student, parent/guardian, & physician performing the exam.
6. Acknowledge all required documents have been read & accepted by BOTH the student and the parent/guardian. Click Next. If both boxes are not checked, you will not be allowed to continue.
7. On the Registration Summary screen, click the “Submit” button. You will receive a confirmation email from no-reply@8to18.com. This is open to any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader.

Byron CUSD will be holding a Flu Clinic for Students and Staff TODAY, Tuesday, October 14th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. in the Mary Mogan Band Room. The Ogle County Health Department will be present. Attached in the Skyward E-mail is a Flu Vaccine Information Sheet and the Flu Shot Consent Form. Bring the completed form and your insurance card with you that day.
The next Art Club meeting will be TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 15th from 3:00-4:00 in the art room. Registration is closed for this meeting.
The Builder's Club will meet this Friday, October 17th from 3:00 – 4:00 in room 601. New members are always welcome. Pick up a registration packet in the main office.
Attention yearbook members: Order forms for apparel (tees, hoodies, and crewnecks) are in Google classroom and available in the office!! Forms and payment are due by Monday, October 20th at 3:00 pm. Ordering apparel is completely optional. See Mrs. Bukoski with any questions.
The Builder's Club is sponsoring a hat and glove drive for the Rockford Rescue Mission. They have created hygiene bags and need new women's and men's hats and gloves to complete the bags. The goal is to collect 20 women's hats and gloves and 20 men's. The collection will be held until November. All donations can be dropped off in the collection box outside the main office.

Sign up for teen programs at the Byron Public Library! Register for a Murder Mystery Friday, October 24th at 6:00 pm on the library website. In addition, after-school Teen Time has now begun and will be on Mondays-Thursdays from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. No registration is necessary for Teen Time.
