The second Tiger Trek of the year will be held on Friday, May 23rd, at 7:00 starting at Blackhawk Meadow Park. There will be free donuts, drawings for prizes, and Hazel's coffee truck. We will leave from the park to ride to BMS around 7:30. We hope to see everyone there!

Congratulations to Mady Martz and Edward Rybicki! They have been elected as the Underclassmen Representatives on the Student Council Executive Board at Byron High School.

The volleyball coaches will be holding open gyms this summer for middle school girls who are planning on playing volleyball. Information can be picked up from Mrs. Harn or in the main office. An emergency contact form must be filled out before the players can participate.

2024-2025 BMS yearbooks are on sale NOW for $25 (cash or check made payable to BMS) in the office (if you did not purchase one at registration). Yearbooks will be passed out in early August. Any questions, see Mrs. Bukoski.

Beanstalk! The Play! Auditions! If you are interested in acting, crew opportunities or extra opportunities for the Vince Carney Community Theatre in Rochelle, Illinois come to the office and pick up an information sheet!

The final FFA meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 19th 3:00-4:00. All students are welcome. We will be discussing summer section fair which is on July 23rd and the summer horse show which is on August 6th.

The next Outdoor Adventure Club trip is the famous WHITE WATER RAFT TRIP to Silver Birch Ranch in Wisconsin! Bus leaves Tuesday May 20th at 3:00 and will return Thursday, May 22nd at 2:30 p.m. Registration is now CLOSED for this trip.

Mark your calendar: 8th grade promotion will be Thursday, May 22nd at 6:00 p.m. in the Byron High School Gymnasium. That will also be the last day of school for 8th graders, and they will be dismissed early.

Sign up for teen programs at the Byron Public Library! Register for weekly Dungeons & Dragons (Wednesdays), Chess Horizons (June 3rd & 17th), Paint & Sip (June 5th), All-Day D&D Extravaganza (June 14th), Beginners Sewing Class (June 16th), Totally Tie-Dye (June 26th) and Movie & Pizza (June 30th) on the library website. In addition, summer Teen Time begins Monday, June 2nd. Teen Time will be on Mondays-Thursdays from 2-4 pm. No registration is necessary for Teen Time.
