Attention Parents and Students!
BMS Bus Riders MUST get on the Transfer Buses at the Middle School in order to be transported to their assigned bus at Mary Morgan. They are NOT allowed to walk to Mary Morgan to get on their bus. If they fail to get on a transfer bus at the middle school, they will NOT be allowed on their assigned bus at Mary Morgan!
Please bring in your pop tabs. Student council is collecting them until TODAY. You can bring them to Mrs. Heather or the office.
Mr. Kirk’s room, room 708, will be open from 3:20-4:00 for Chess Club and STEM Club TODAY, Thursday. This is open to all middle school students. You do not need to attend every meeting. Students should report at 3:00 if they are not working with a teacher. The 4:00 bus is available for transportation home.
The last FFA contest, Livestock Judging, will be THIS Saturday April 12th. The bus for this contest leaves from the HS greenhouse at 8:30 a.m.
Byron PTA is sponsoring Battle in Byron 2 – Live Pro Wrestling! This will be held THIS Saturday, April 12th at the Byron High School Gym. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. More information can be found on the Byron PTA Facebook page and flyers are posted all around each school. All proceeds go to support the Byron CUSD#226 PTA. Advance Tickets are available at bit.ly/battleinbyrontwo or at the door the night of the event.
Attend a Drawing Workshop with a professional artist at the Byron Public Library on Monday, April 21st at 1:00 pm (your day off school). Register for it on the library website.
The next Outdoor Adventure Club outing will be a CAVING Trip to Maquoketa State Park in Maquoketa, Iowa on Saturday, April 26th, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $5.00. Registration forms are available for pickup in the office. Forms and money are due in the office by Wednesday, April 23rd. This is an exciting trip and a chance to explore many unique caves!
Attention Students:
Dr. Mutchler, the counselor from Mary Morgan is retiring at the end of the school year. Please help us send her into retirement by making her a card. Cards can wish her well or thank her for helping you when you were at Mary Morgan. Please give your cards to Mrs. Burris by Friday, April 25th. If you have any questions, you can also ask Mrs. Burris.
8th Grade: It’s time to start thinking about what you want to do when you get into high school. If you are interested in being part of BHS Student Council, the application link is in your 2029 Google Classroom; submit your Application by April 30th. You can also apply to be an officer in Student Council, using the same application. Incoming Freshmen can apply to be an Underclassmen Representative (there will be more than one) and Assistant Historian. If you have questions, please email Mrs. Ebens at the HS; kebens@byron226.org

This is a position that works with the class advisor to PLAN Homecoming for your class. See the application for more information. Usually this job consists of 4 students, sometimes more or sometimes less.
