If you are interested in spending part of your flex on Wednesday learning about either of these careers, you can sign up with Mrs. Rieck in the library or on the google form in your google classroom.
BYRON PTA FUNDRAISER! The Byron PTA is having a fundraiser if any middle schooler is interested in helping raise money. They are selling Fannie May Candy and other assorted sweet treats, kitchen gadgets, wrapping paper and other misc. items. Packets are available in the office for pick-up if interested.
ATTENTION STUDENTS INTERESTED IN DANCE! There will be an informational meeting for Dance Team TODAY, Monday, October 7th at 3:20 p.m. in the BMS Library.
7th & 8th grade girls volleyball players can turn in their uniforms to Mrs Harn.
6th Grade Boys Basketball Info:
Practice for 6th grade boys will be THIS Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday October 10th at the PE Center from 3:30-5:30 p.m. NO practice on October 11th or October 14th. Students will ride the transfer bus over to Mary Morgan and sit in Mary Mogan cafeteria until their coaches release them. Normal practice will be Monday thru Thursday from 3:30-5:00 p.m.
7th Grade Boy Basketball Practice Information:
7th-grade basketball practice will begin TODAY, October 7th at 6:00-7:20 a.m. in the PE Center Monday-Friday. There will be no practice on October 14th.
8th Grade Boys Basketball Practice Information:
8th-grade basketball practice will begin TODAY, October 7th at 6:00-7:30 a.m. at Byron Middle School Monday-Friday. (Please note that the first two mornings are at the PE Center, but then the location changes to BMS.)
FFA: FFA will be meeting THIS Wednesday 10/9 from 3:15-4:00 pm. This is a change from the regularly scheduled Mondays. At 4:00 after the meeting, we will go to Leadership Training School at SVCC. We will return to Byron around 8:30 pm.
The next Outdoor Adventure Club trip will be a “Camp & Bike Trip” to the Elroy Sparta Bike Trail in Wisconsin THIS Friday, October 11th thru Saturday October 12th. Cost of this trip is $50.00 and includes Bike Rental, Trail Fee, Camping Fee and breakfast on Saturday. Information and registration forms are available in the office. FORMS AND MONEY ARE DUE BY THE END OF THE DAY TOMORROW, TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8th.
The next Art Club meeting will be Wednesday, October 23rd from 3:00-4:00 in the Art room. Please sign up in the office by the end of the day on Friday, October 18th if you would like attend, so Mrs. Bierman can buy supplies. Students can ride the 4:00 bus home if needed. All students are welcome!
Byron School District Flu Clinic
When: Oct 24, 2024 12:00 pm-4:30 pm
Where: Mary Morgan Wooden Gym
Ogle County Health Department will be onsite to give Staff and Students Flu shots.
Clinic is open to the public.
Please fill out the insurance form and turn it into the school offices. Forms can be found on the district website or the school offices!

*Staff and students that participate in the flu clinic will be entered into a drawing for a gift card.
