Our school has been chosen to take part in a national poetry contest! Students who would like to participate will submit their poems for consideration for publication in the 30th edition of the Young American Poetry Digest. Although all poetry forms are encouraged, they highlight “haiku” poetry. A panel of educators will review the poetry and select poems to be published that they feel are well written based on the child’s age and grade. Poetry should be submitted to Miss Rieck in the BMS library by March 25th. Poems must be 80 words or less. Contact Miss Rieck with any questions! [email protected] Savannah Wallery submitted multiple poems to our poetry contest and received a letter over the weekend that one or more of her poems were selected for publication in the Young American Poetry Digest!! If you see her, please congratulate her on being a published poet! Our school library will receive a copy of the book once it is published and so will Savannah. 😊
