BYRON – Persons interested in seeking position as a member of the Byron CUSD 226 Board of Education should obtain the necessary forms at Ogle County Clerk’s office: 105 S. 5th Street, Suite 104, Oregon, IL 61061 or contact them at 815-732-1110 and request the County Clerk’s office to email the School Board Packet. The packet may also be accessed on their website www.oglecounty.org. Click on “County Clerk” under Departments, then “Forms.” Next select “Local Election Official (Petition Packets)” and select the appropriate district. The necessary forms and information are available to print. The first day to circulate petitions is Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Board of Education Members do not receive payment for their services. Five positions will be open in April 2020. There are 3 positions that are 4 year terms and 2 positions that are 2 year terms. ( you will need to indicate if you are running for a 2 or 4 year term) The Board of Education consists of seven members currently: Christine Lynde, Kathi Gehrke, Phil Kesler, D.J. Mumma, Margaret Rock, Mary Jo Cassens, and Jeff Milburn. Petitions must be filed with the Ogle County Clerk’s Office beginning December 14-21, 2020
